Not sure why an update could fail (if related) because it cant't be backed up to the cloud. I still have 9GB available in my iCloud storage. Ive followed the instructions to change the settings and still no luck. I see the following error message in my iCloud sync. I successfully updated 'other items' by only selecting 'install' for the item and not 'install all'.

I also get an error when I try update the Africa topo map on the edge 530 using my Mac (I've not bothered trying to update the 6x).

I have the same devices (Fenix 6x pro and an Edge 530). I am technically challenged so going into the back end to manually delete maps scares me. This seems to be a common problem, with a few workarounds I can't figure out.īeing that Africa is a 4.8gb file and the largest of the lot, I assumed it was a storage issue, but I have well over 10gb on the 530 open, my understanding is that Garmin deletes the current map, and reinstalls the new updated one, and that the error seems to be that garmin gets a hiccup deleting the original map. Since the 60CSx can be connected with USB or serial, I assume you are using the USB cable and have it plugged into the correct port on the computer.īut do run this test: connect the 60csx and PC together put the 60CSx into removable drive mode (Setup, Interface, USB mass storage) - the GPSr will display an icon that suggests it is in that mode and your computer should respond by setting up a drive (you can see it with Windows Explorer). Mapsource can detect the 60CSx without having the GPSr in removable drive mode. You need to be in Mass Storage mode for MapSource to detect your memory card.
