My personal opinion? It seems pretty likely that a lot of people are going to be disappointed. Care about the people working on the game, before the game there working on. It's what my fav streamer taught me and I wish I did it before. Focus on the people around you, before games/content. It harms everyone involved, and I know it can be hard to break out of that mindset but trust me in the mean time, check out other games, practice your coding skills, and build up friendships. I think thinking negatively is not helping yourself, the community or the people working on the game. Trust me Roblox is a ton of fun and I wish I gave it more of a chance all these years. They are working to make this game more accessible to adults and I do recommend messing around with Roblox until Hytale releases. They are working to add voice chat right now and the only way to get access to it in the very near future is to verify your ID. I am not expecting this game to be huge and kill Minecraft, it's unrealistic as hell and puts too much pressure on the devs.įor now I recommend everyone to try out Roblox. As long as there is a community where we can make memories, create, explore a wonderful world, and have a fun time, that's all that matters to me. Hytale won't be the next Minecraft, but that's okay. Some people will make just a small mini game like people usually do on Roblox, and other people will make a huge minigame servers like people do on Minecraft. I see Hytale as a mix of Minecraft with it's survival mode and minigame servers, and a mix of Roblox with the server lists and AMAZING modding/creative tools. I've been playing Roblox lately, and I loved how creative people are with the platform. My hype is dead but that means when it does come out I will be happy for everything that it gives. If more developers try to make the biggest projects possible, more will end up succeeding.

If Hytale truly does prove to be too ambitious and fails, that's going to be the reason it failed, not because of incompetence or anything like that. They also won't get away with making a bad product now. Hytale's delay has proven that their that main priority is the game, not hype or short-term financial gains. We can only expect Hytale to be bigger due to their resources. Vintage Story is a game made by a former Hytale developer, which is already quite good in a number of ways. It's still in the back in the minds of many people, including big YouTubers. There's a lot of people willing to pick this game up again when it's ready. Riot has doubled down on Hytale repeatedly and sustains development The best assurance I can give is that Hypixel has the best shot of any studio out there right now to make a game like Hytale happen.
